STROKE OF LUCK

HAH

NEW YEAR, NEW BLOG.

i THINK IT'S APPROPRIATE TO BEGIN MY NEW YEAR WITH MY FIRST BLOG POST.
I hope everyone had a happy Hannukah or merry Christmas.

my sisters husband is Christian so we partake in the first night of Hannukah, and celebrate Christmas, mostly for the kids.Christmukah was berry good to me this year.

I got to see my niece Rachel, and she brought my grand nephew with her. I've got several pictures of li'l J sitting on my lap comparing his curly reddish blonde hair to my bald grape. I also got some pics with my 2 nephews.all the pics turned out great as far as image quality is concerned, but I'm the most unphotogenic person I know so they didn't turn out well enough to post them where anyone can see them. I usually look better in candid shots than closer posed ones. because of my stroke, my smile is kind of crooked and when the flash goes off I usually blink or hold my eyes way open, resulting in a really goofy looking, ugly picture that I'd be embarrased for anyone outside of my family to see. the only good pics I've ever had madewere some with my ex-wife after we got engaged. in that one I wasn't fully facing the camera.the photographer had us looking at her ring instead of looking at him and saying 'cheese"I had another that was taken in 1997 by a freind who's a professional photographer. brett usually works with models.I had that one somewhere on my computer but i cant find it. i hope it's on one of the back-up disks I made in 2002.getting back to christmas: i racked up this year. I'm one of those people who think that Christmas is more about giving than recieving, but i still love to get great gifts.I got a sandalwood and cedarscent diffuser for my pad. it's a really cool. thing, a small glass decanter filled with a perfume-like liquid. it comes with a package of little woos ticks about as long as a pencil. i don't know what kind of wood it is. You unbundle the sticks and place them in the decanter. as they absorb the perfume, the scent diffuses into the air, like a clade air freshener does, only it works better. bubba says he can start to smell it when he's halfway down the stairs. I like the included scent because it does smell good. and I guess it would work with any perfume you put in it. bubba says he's gonna get one for his bedroom, and I'm going to look around online to see if I can find some kits that don't come with a scent included so i can fill it with my favorite creed or aqa de parma cologne. I also like the small of womens davidoff cool water perfume, and might look for a big bottle of that...to cap off such a great stash of loot, bubba gave me a sony walkman.
I remember the original cassette tape walkman that I had in the 80s and that was like a suitcase compared to the new ones, which are MP3 players smaller than a pack of cigarettes! it's all kinds of cool, get one for yourself. I also got a pedometer that clips onto your shirt ot pants to know how many steps u walked or jogged during your workout. if you walked/jogged somepace that you can't drive a car to measure the distance, like a walking path or trail in a park you can easily convert the number of steps into distance by finding a place that yo do know the distance of and figuring out how many steps you walk in that distance and interpolating from there.i don't know how well it's gonna work with the crazy messed up gait that i have now. I'm sue I'll find out by taking it to physical therapy next week.

I also want to wish all a safe, healthy, happy and prosperous 2009
