I just can't stand not going to physical therapy 3 times a week
Ahhh! 2 days off from physical therapy in a row, I'm not gonna know what to do with myself now that there's no more PT. mom came out and took me to lunch today. we went to bangkok cabin, a small thai restaurant here in kennesaw. we had an appatizer combo with basil rolls, fried spring rolls, steamed dumplings and chicken satay. i had a bowl of coconut-chicken soup because the tom-yum there is a little more than i could splurge on today. my entree was yellow curry with chicken. potatos, green peppers and onion. it was an enormous portion so i brought some home for my lunch tommorow. mom got her usual thai, larb. 4 those not familiar with thai cuisine, larb is minced meat,( mom gets chicken) cooked in lime juice and spices, served with cabbage leaves for wrapping the meat. I'm not sure what kind of wrap they use in thailand, but i believe it's some type of lettuce, like you get with bul-goki @ a korean barbecue. at korean barbecue restaurant they bring a charcoal brazier to your table and you grill your own meat on it. They also bring kimchi and other assorted condiments that you wrap up in a lettuce leaf with your own meat on it. My favorite condiment is what i cal the dried "baby minnows", which are little tiny dried fish that are crunchy and chewy at the same time. when I was stationed in okinawa, a guy in my platoon who was korean-american would get cellophane bags of them somewhere out in town. I kept some in my room and whenever I would buy a green pepper steak with rice from the chuck wagon that came around in the evenings, I'd put a bunch in my rice. I'm not sure, but I think I've seen packages of the minnows @ the Japanese grocery that bubba and i frequent. next time we're in there, I'll look for some to bring home. I've gone on too far with this post. I'll end by saying that I've been to a korean barbecue in Atlanta, but don't remember where it was. if bubba doesn't remember either, I'll check with cliff bostocks website and one of his staff will get back to me.
